Pretty damn cool iPad application that allows your child to interact with the story as they are reading it. And while traditionalists may argue that the introduction of tablets may destroy the culture around actual hardback books, there is no doubt in my mind that tablets are the wave of the future, and getting your child engaged in one as early as possible will only make their acceptance and use of it easier in the long run.
I’m glad the Capital Weather Gang posted a handy dew point chart to reference since I’m asked all the time what the difference is between the dew point and relative humidity. It’s hard to explain to someone that when they are complaining about how “humid” it is outside, it’s really the high dew point that is making them so uncomfortable.
Thwarted again by the damn plaster wall! Followed the instructions perfectly to install slide bolts to hold our new spice racks but only one problem… It’s not hollow back there. Instead, plaster meets cinder block. So, instead of two nice screws to mount my shelves, I’m left with two perfect holes.
Back to the drawing board.

I had been looking for a tasty and easy Asian Turkey Burger recipe, and this one definitely delivered. Prep time took about 15 minutes, and the grilling was probably some of the easiest I’ve had with turkey burgers, ever. 6 minutes a side and you’re done.
I DID cut back on the amount of breadcrumbs as I’m not really a fan of breadcrumbs in my burger - so about half what it asks for - and it was fine. Definitely a must try.
